Warren Cobb, owner of Listen Locally, LLC is a singer, songwriter, performer and producer who also serves as Associate Producer/Talent Management for NPR series “Red Barn Radio” and WUKY’s Concert Series “Commons Crossing” as well as Executive Director and Vice President of Room 17 Productions, a nonprofit organization that promotes music education through storytelling, oral history, live performance and preservation of aging recordings.
In 1985, Warren acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Music and began a successful pursuit of a life-long dream of becoming a working musician and performing in the arts. While at UK, Warren was a member of The UK Chorus, The UK Choristers and the prestigious UK Chorale. Warren participated in A Shaker Worship Service, The Madrigal Dinners and three Atlanta Symphony Conductor Robert Shaw-directed performances.
Over the years, he has become a well-known musician and songwriter in the Lexington area and his versatile guitar styles and vocals were heard in such groups as The Tim Lake Little Big Band, The Castaways, The Mag7, Cross Country and Music Works. In 2015, Warren co-produced “The Tribute To Sara Holroyd” Concert held at the Singletary Center for the Arts. Along with serving as Executive Director of the non-profit Room 17 Productions, performs with The Sara Holroyd Singers, teaches guitar and music lessons, and worked as a Production Assistant and in Transportation for movie production companies that have filmed in Kentucky. He also is the sponsor of The Twisted Cork’s Open Mic Night in Lexington, KY and the Executive Producer of the radio show “Overtones” , a radio show and podcast that airs on WLXU 93.9FM Lexington Community Radio each and every week.
